Is the Unit Certified? Most wine cooling units are NOT certified. CoolSpace IS certified to rigorous National Research Testing Laboratories (NRTL) standards - your assurance of quality.
What is the true power rating? BTU ratings refer only to the size of the compressor. But the real cooling power has to do with the size of the coils and fans. We tested CoolSpace in controlled conditions against a leading competitor with the same size compressor. Our coils - double! Airflow - Double! Our actual BTU's - Double!
Are digital controls necessary? You bet! Electronic controls contribute to the efficiency of the unit itself and guarantee a much longer life. CoolSpace controls are the world's smallest and most precise. Digital, right down to the sensor! We challenge any manufacturer to match our +1 .125 F precision. Thermocouple controls are simply not in our league. And our digital controls are standard, not a $199 option.
What about warranties? Don't be impressed by 5-year warranty on compressor. We offer it too! However, the odds of a compressor going down are close to zero. No one will match our limited warranty: if you unit is defective within the first year, we will send you a replacement. Period. WE even pay the shipping. All we ask is that you return the defective unit after you receive your replacement.
De-icing? Excuse me! No wine cooling unit should ever require de-icing. Properly designed coils never go below 35 F.
What happens to the condensate? Electronic condensate evaporators waste energy and reduce efficiency. CoolSpace units use the condensate to cool the system and increase efficiency! Remember, undersized coils result in excessive condensate.
What about key components? Wouldn't you rather have quality components, like German Danfoss compressors and stainless steel?
What about noise level? We tested some units that claim to be "whisper quiet". You be the judge...
